Description: If you would enjoy visiting a boutique winery in an “off the beaten track” location, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, where top quality wines, food and service are offered, you should visit GlenWood. Established in 1984, Glenwood lies in the little-known Robertsvlei Valley surrounded by mountains, close to Franschhoek. All estate wines started their lives in their very own noble cultivar vineyards and all are routinely highly rated by local and overseas wine judges with the Chardonnay’s receiving particular acclaim.
Dining: The tasting room offers guests a unique Fine Wine and Food Experience. On arrival, each guest will be presented with tastes of six of the estate’s best award-winning wines together with a specifically designed Tasting Palette carrying tastes of six carefully prepared matching dishes. After tasting the various options, guests will select their lunch main course and the wine to accompany it. The menu caters for all palates and primarily comprises locally produced products including cheeses, meats, fish, vegetables, herbs and olive oil.
Activities: Vine-to-Bottle Tour & Tasting (2hr, pre-booking only required on Sat/Sun), Fine Wine and Food Experience (2hrs, pre-booked), Boules
