Established in 1685, Boschendal is one of the oldest wine farms in South Africa. Nestled in one of the most picturesque valleys in the Cape with a wine-making tradition spanning over 330 years, our farm offers an array of activities for visitors to enjoy and explore. Today, Boschendal is a Cape Winelands icon and an acclaimed wine and food destination. The vineyards and fruit trees have been joined by vegetable gardens and a growing herd of pasture-raised Black Angus cattle all reflecting our commitment to regenerative farming, sustainability and serving wholesome farm-to-table food.

CELLAR DOOR WINE TASTING: Join us under the oak trees to savour a special selection of Boschendal’s finest award-winning wines. Next to our Rhone Homestead, Cellar Door looks out over our Heritage Rose Garden. The outdoor tasting area is set beneath our iconic giant oak tree, giving you the best Winelands experience.

WERF WINE TASTING: Get a taste of our award-winning wines at our Werf wine tasting area, set within our historic Werf precinct. Our expert wine ambassadors are ready to answer questions and take you on a unique journey of discovery unlike anything else in the Winelands.

Dining: The Werf Restaurant is perfectly located alongside the original cellar of the Manor House and featuring picturesque views of the valley, offering contemporary soil-to-fork dining using the best available local, seasonal and ethically-sourced ingredients. The Deli is the perfect spot for casual dining with family and friends. Join us for hearty farm meals ranging from our all-day farm style breakfast to our popular wood-fired pizzas for dinner. Aside from the well-known favourites on our menu, our selection also features the best of what the seasons have to offer on the farm. Take your seat outside our Werf area or get cosy inside near our large wood-burning fire. Picnic options are also available.
