Franschhoek’s Wine Gem

The Franschhoek appellation in South Africa’s Western Cape wine-growing region is one of the early centres of the country’s wine industry, founded when the French Huguenots’ arrived here in 1688. In addition to its centuries’ old wine culture, Franschhoek’s winelands boasts a unique geographical character that influences the wines produced in the region. Bordered by mountain ranges situated in a valley corner, the appellation benefits from its Mediterranean climate of warm, sunny summers and cold, wet winters.

Founded in 1991
