Gorgeous day out!
What a fantastic day out - so well organised and heaps of fun. We chose to do the Red Line after doing a lot of research on the different wineries and we certainly didn't regret it. Our favourite stops were Rickety Bridge - the Palomino wine was stunning. Mont Rochelle was magnificent, the wines were delicious and we also stayed for lunch. Wow, just wow. I don't think we've ever eaten such beautiful food, we're still talking about it now. Highly recommend the Wine Tram for a couples day out - what an experience!

Great experience with lovely staff 🍷
We did the pink line and stopped at 4 vine yards which we felt was enough as you could sample the wines and soak up the atmosphere without feeling rushed. The tram covers a small area and the bus covers the rest. The whole experience was lovely and once you got your head around the timetable (all staff happy to help you plan stops) it ran smoothly. Great food, great location, great service

Excellent service from Racquel in the control room
I called the wine tram office for assistance and was was put through to Racquel in the control room. This lady was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She was able to give me good, clear guidance on which line to pick based on the farms i wanted to visit and times i set out. I was able to structure my trip in the way that i wanted based on her knowledge of the system and timeframes. Great way to visit the vineyards
Despite an overcast & a little rain, we had a great day on the Orange Line visiting vineyards. Well organised trams & buses to take you to each vineyard - even when the tram stops at the entrance to a vineyard yet theres a long walk up a drive to the tasting, there's a bus to take you to the door. Staff on board the tram and buses were friendly & great, ensuring that you understood the tram timings and advice on how to make the most of your day. Curated experience. Great ambassador, Courtney!
We had such a wonderful day with the Franschhoek Wine Tram, and choosing the Curated Experience was absolutely worth it. It made the day feel much more personal and special, and a huge part of that was our guide, Cortney. Cortney was truly fantastic. She was so knowledgeable, funny, warm, and easy to be around. She was born and raised in Franschhoek, so having someone who actually grew up in the area made such a difference. She knew the wineries, the history, the people, and the area so well, and she shared everything in a way that was interesting without ever feeling like a formal tour. What I appreciated most was how genuinely attentive she was. She went above and beyond to make sure we were having a great time and even helped with things that went beyond what we expected from the experience. Great tour by Jessica
We had the absolute best time on this tour, all thanks to our amazing guide, Jessica! She was so graceful and informative, and the whole vibe was perfectly relaxed and fun. Curated tour with Courtney
We booked the curated tour which took us to 3 wineries and included lunch. Courtney our ambassador was outstanding - knowledgeable, fun and friendly whilst taking good care of us. There were 8 in our group so we had time to interact whilst learning about wine and how to taste and pair. All the staff we met, on the train and at the wineries, were great and clearly loved their work. Lunch at Rickety Bridge was perfect and over 7 hours we tasted a lot of wine! Heritage treat ….
The heritage tram and its attendant heritage busses run like clockwork. There are plenty of crew about at the station to help you plan your day. The crew onboard are especially helpful and friendly. Do your research before hand to map out your route as it will make the day go smoothly. While the timetable may appear confusing it’s straightforward when you get your eye-in.
