Paserene is a South African boutique winery in Franschhoek, owned by winemaker Martin Smith and businessman Ndavhe Mareda, that produces high-end, luxury wines. The winery’s name is inspired by the Latin term Passeriformes, which means "perching birds." Paserene's philosophy is to create wines that reflect the true character of the grapes, with minimal intervention.
